The department of Modern Languages and Literatures offer six languages to study (Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Spanish), three languages offered as majors (French, German, and Spanish), and five minors (French, Business French, German, Business German, and Business Spanish). Through courses in French, students gain proficiency in understanding, reading, writing, and speaking the language. Through courses in German, students gain linguistic proficiency as well as understanding of the literatures and cultures of the German-speaking world.
