Abstract
“Creative Writing Across Multiple Mediums” features three stories about three women from consecutive generations within a family. Each story is presented in a different medium. The grandmother’s story, which is on a podcast, tells the tale of how she raised her daughter on her own after her husband dies. The mother’s story, told in the form of journal and blog entries, is about how she got pregnant and the father left her; she ends up leaving her daughter with her mother (the grandmother from the podcast) to raise. The daughter’s story is interactive for the reader in which they get to choose whether or not to let her mother back in her life. Through these stories, I have explored the dynamics between three women from the same family, especially in how trauma has affected each. Additionally, each story is told in different formats that changes how the story is received by a reader.
