Abstract
The goal of this website is to document the process in which I collected and distributed historical analyses and important information to the actors of UMW Theatre's Julius Caesar performed in the first two weeks of March, 2022. There are guides to the play itself, historical context regarding the production and setting of the play, and the dramaturgical process completed while working on the show. Julius Caesar has been done hundreds of ways, with political tensions at the time of the production playing a role in the themes emphasized on stage. Researching the play and connecting the actors to the history and themes of the play is crucial for the outcome of the performance, and this website aims to relate the actors to the world of the play and introduce them to the historical complexities of both the setting and the time period it was written in.
